MANIFESTO | TYPOGRAPHY POSTER DESIGN
Manifesto is a poster design that communicate who I am as a designer and what are my aesthetics. The poster introduce the Chinese basic terminology in typography through the equivalent English terms, creating a mutual understandable theories.
PERSONAL MANIFESTO
I would consider myself as a lazy designer. Not that I am not devoted towards my design process or not willing to spend time in my work but it is the opposite. I want to work smart and efficient, to the point and produce quality work. I love using symbols and infographics to communicate and display information. To me, I do find them more efficient than reading a long passage. I love designs that are straightforward, easy to understand, therefore using simple aesthetics to improve communication is important to me.
The key is to combine my "laziness" (love of simplicity) and creativity to work together and form simple but smart work. Therefore my personal aesthetic uses geometric shapes, icons and info-graphics to communicate in a meaningful way. In this poster, I would like to include my cultural background (Hong Kong) combine with my use of graphic to introduce and help people to understand the basic terminology in Chinese typography through the equivalent English terms.
